NEWS!
Our summer plans have changed dramatically.

We have put our "A Little Travelin' Music" summer program aside because....

We are very happy to announce that Classic Choral Society has been invited by Dr. Woomyung Choe and the Greater Newburgh Symphony Orchestra to take part as guest chorus in a special presentation of Josef Haydn's choral masterpiece, Missa Solemnis in B-Flat ("Harmoniemesse") Hob XXII:14, as a tribute to the Dominican Sisters, the Sisters of Saint Dominic, who founded Newburgh's Mount Saint Mary College in 1960. This fiftieth anniversary concert performance will take place on the Newburgh college campus in Aquinas Hall on Saturday evening at 7 o'clock, September 25, 2010.

The Choral Society's rehearsals for this first-time collaboration with the Greater Newburgh Symphony will begin on Monday, June 7, 2010, at 7:30PM (until 9:30) in our usual rehearsal home, the historic Blooming Grove United Church of Christ, and will continue on Monday evenings throughout the summer months. As is our usual practice during the summer rehearsal season, reasonable accommodations will be made to allow for singers' summer vacation plans. We will welcome new and returning singers.

Contact CCS artistic director at 845-783-6030 with questions regarding participation.
